I’m Nac Wattanakul, a Thai visual designer and artist based in Naarm (Melbourne), working across graphic design, printed matter and visual communication. I’m interested in translating ideas, cultural references, and material experimentation into thoughtful, contemporary visual outcomes.
Project 01
Camoufler pour Exister (2025)
A graduation project exploring camouflage as a form of identity and self-expression. Found imagery and textures from everyday environments were transformed into six original camouflage patterns, digitally printed onto fabric and constructed into wearable balaclavas.
The project reimagines camouflage beyond concealment, using pattern, material and the body as tools for expression.
Project 02
Camoufler pour Exister Book (2025)
A publication extending Camoufler pour Exister through editorial design and printed matter. Part lookbook and part process archive, the book brings together photography, visual experiments and documentation of the project’s six camouflage patterns and wearable pieces.
A4, 60 pages + 6 transparency films, coil-bound.
Project 03
Know The Face Not The Heart (2026)
Apparel Design & Creative Direction
A self-published zine and apparel project inspired by the Thai saying รู้หน้าไม่รู้ใจ — “you can know a face, but not the heart.” Through graphic artworks and printed matter, the project reflects on appearance, identity and what remains hidden beneath the surface.
32 pages, black and white, 13 × 19 cm, printed on 100% recycled paper. Distributed through selected bookshops and concept stores across Australia and Southeast Asia.
Project 04
Florian Ban-Sabai (2025)
& Menu Design
Poster and menu design for Ban-Sabai (บ้านสบาย), a weekly Thai dinner series hosted by Florian in Carlton North, Melbourne.
Inspired by traditional Thai floral enamel serving trays, the designs reinterpret familiar decorative patterns through a contemporary graphic approach while working within Florian’s existing visual identity.
Project 05
Atomic Made In Lab (2018-2020)
Creative Direction & Apparel Design
Atomic Made In Lab was an independent clothing brand founded in Thailand, combining graphic design, apparel and creative direction.
Inspired by laboratory graphics, warning symbols and underground visual culture, the brand developed a playful, experimental identity across clothing, campaign imagery and promotional material.
Project 06
Experimental Sak Yant Type (2023)
& Creative Direction
An experimental typeface built from modular elements derived from Yant Hah Taew (ยันต์ห้าแถว), a traditional Thai sacred tattoo associated with protection and spiritual belief.
The project transforms its symbolic forms and geometric structures into a contemporary typographic system, exploring how traditional cultural references can be reinterpreted through graphic design.

Siamese Dream 2002 (2024)
Motion Graphic Design & Creative Direction
A personal project exploring Thai identity through memory, cultural references and visual experimentation. Drawing from imagery associated with Thailand and my own experiences growing up there, the work brings familiar symbols and everyday references into a contemporary graphic context.
The project combines image-making, typography and printed matter to create a personal interpretation of Thai visual culture.
A5, 40 pages, full-colour, saddle-stitched.
